DULCOLAX (Bisacodyl) 5 mg: relief from occasional constipation
Dulcolax contains bisacodyl 5 mg, a stimulant laxative. It gently stimulates the bowel to produce a movement, usually within 6 to 12 hours, which makes bedtime a convenient time to take it.

Frequently asked questions
How long does Dulcolax take to work?
Bisacodyl tablets usually work within 6 to 12 hours, which is why many people take them at bedtime.
Why can’t I take Dulcolax with milk?
Milk and antacids can dissolve the tablet coating too early, causing stomach cramps and irritation. Leave at least an hour between them.
Can I use Dulcolax every day?
Don’t use it for more than 1 week unless a doctor says so. Regular use can make your bowel depend on laxatives.
